CCLL Coach Recruitment and Training
Our guidelines require that all coaches attend at least one coaching session. Upcoming trainings are listed below. They are all free. Please register in advance and if you don't sign up, please come anyway. Those outside of CCLL are also welcome to attend our trainings.
Note: coaches must also complete online concussion training and one coach from each team must also participate in an online Positive Coaches Alliance Training.

She has served on the Strategic Advisory Group for The Aspen Institute's Calls for Coaches: Coaching Social and Emotional Skills in Youth Sports.
These trainings will be held on Sunday, March 20 outdoors at the field at Chevy Chase Recreation Center, 5500 41st Street NW (rescheduled from Saturday, March 12).
Tee Ball Training -and-
Recruitment of new women and men coaches!
Sunday, March 20, 10:00am-11:30am
For: Potential new and returning Tee Ball and A Division coaches, especially those reluctant to coach
For our tee ball division we are emphasizing smaller, more manageable team sizes and and a turn key, fun curriculum. Facilitation and positive energy are the most important here. And with more teams we need more parents to volunteer jump in. The session will show tentative moms and dads they don’t need to be the next Davy Martinez. Volunteer coaching kids can be for everybody! You have what it takes.
Your contribution is valuable! Lead on your own or partner with a spouse or friend group and jump in.
We will provide positive encouragement, support, and tools as we cover philosophy of coaching, the official Little League Tee Ball Curriculum, teaching basic skills and rules, and practice planning.
